Hate Mail & Comment Note
It looks like the recent hate mail was not written by the original commenter who kindly referred to me as "brother", but by another person. As follows:
Thank you for the clarification and I apologise for the mix-up. I retract my own comments about the hate-mail poster resorting to foul language. Unfortunately the blog interface is not sufficiently advanced enough for me to differentiate people with their IPs and all commenters are posting under their own "honour" as it were. One way to help differentiate yourself from other commenters is not to identify yourself as 'Anonymous'.
It would be much better if commenters could identify themselves either by registering with Blogger (and thus getting their own blog), or make use of the 'Other' option when making a comment. This will enable posters to choose their names (and optional homepage URL) and stick by it. Pseudonyms are acceptable if necessary since I understand the need for anonymity sometimes but please, please, help me and yourselves by providing some sort of identity. Thank you for your co-operation.
On another note, I've received information from another source that also tells me of a mix-up with the Easwaramma High School and the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School. In all honesty I cannot remember which institution I applied to but I am sure it is likely to be the Higher Secondary School, and so I have updated the original post to reflect that.
Brother,
The brother style comment is from me. I am not sure of who gave the other "harsh" comment. May be you can check it from the IP.
I am a "FULLTIME Sai Devotee".

Ha ha, you guys sound like a bunch of jokers! First of all the "Brother" Sai Devotee that claims to be a "FULL-TIME" Sai devotee....what is he doing on this blog? Probably he claims to a fulltime devotee but is actually gorging nicely on all the criticism posted on the blog. If he is a true devotee why is he reading all this stuff?
As for me, I am not stating that I believe in Sai Baba, but seriously, I thought you should research your facts before publishing them. Because if you made such a silly mistake about confusing schools, then what credibility will you have when you address "larger" issues. Do not make a fool of yourself (As if you have not already).
Regarding this "Brother" Sai devotee..ha ha...his style of english sounds like he himself studied in the Easwaramma school, probably he is from the village!

Maybe so, maybe not. This blog is available on the Internet for all to see and access, and it is not for me to comment on the surfing habits of Sai Baba devotees. I have no problem with Sai devotee vieweing this blog just as much as they have no problem reading it.

In case it escaped your attention, this is a blog, not an official website that contains carefully-crafted position papers on this or that issue about Sai Baba. This is a venue for ongoing research and, as such, mistakes may be made here and there. In fact, careful readers who follow the posts here will note that I take great efforts to reference source material wherever possible, even linking to Sai Baba websites when necessary, which shows that I have no serious grudge as such.
In any case, the possibility of making mistakes is present in any endeavour and it remains for people like your kind self to point them out so we can make improvements. That's what comments are for, really.

Let's keep it clean, shall we? It's not for me to moderate flame wars when there is much more productive work to be done.

Okay H.H.Saiexposedananda...now for the real part. I am not condemning you. But beware, when you condemn Sai Baba, keep your personal bias and prejudice out of your opinion. While your scientific analysis is appropriate, your posts do reveal a "Hate" factor and thats what I am trying to let you know.
Having been on the Spiritual path for years, having studied the the spiritual teachings of different masters, all that I can say is one thing...the journey begins within...Spirituality is not dependent on any external factors like gurus. While there are genuine gurus, there are also several fraud gurus. Unfortunately, the masses expect someone to guide them and "Tell" them to do something...something very unfortuntate. And for people like Sai Baba, it is very easy to exploit the gullibility of the innocent masses to seek their own gain. It is so unfortunate and pathetic that even intelligent people have been led astray by such fake gurus. If one seriously begins a quest for seeking reality, then he or she does not need a guru. But people like someone to lead them. People like someone to tell them, to guide them, and that is the sad story.
All that I am advising you sincerely is that point out this particular factor to people and don't specifically target Sai Baba or his devotees. Its just a waste of time. To me Sai devotees are innocent but at the same time a totally confused lot. Very sad indeed. The human mind is intelligent. God has given us logic and understanding. But, we are ready to accept somebody that says he or she is God. Unfortunately thats how the human psyche works...
The whole Sai story is sad, is false and a total waste of time. Very unfortunate. But what to do? Millions believe in him, forgetting the fact that the highest power is within oneself. But what is incredible is the paranormal events that surround Sai Baba...people think it is because of him.....absolute fools they are...because when a group of people think positively, automatically positive vibrations are created and that is nothing to do with Sai Baba! Devotees are idiots and they are being fooled! If Sai Baba is really God, then why his poor health, the politics in his organization, all the extragavanza and the show?? Just think of the genuine gurus like Shirdi Sai Baba..they were so humble and detested all this show and display of wealth.
So, my advice to you is to concentrate on this positive aspects and enlighten the masses rather than condemn Sai Baba. Because the more you condemn, the more they will believe in him and not in themselves. Hope you understand, dear brother. I know you have gone through the pain, thats why you are doing all this.
