Times of India - It's Raining Explosives
HYDERABAD: A day after seizing 875 rockets and 30 launchers in Mahbubnagar and Prakasam districts meant for Maoists, police on Saturday seized another consignment of explosives from a transport company's godown in Anantapur district.
The explosives were recovered during statewide raids conducted by police on the office and warehouses of Kranti Transport Company.
Police said three bags of gelatin sticks were recovered from the company's godown at Puttaparthi in Anantapur district.
The consignment was booked at Chityala in Nalgonda district. Police took one Venkatramireddy into custody to whom the parcel was sent.
Police have launched a hunt for two people who received two consignments of rocket launchers which were sent to Macherla through Kranthi Transport Company two months ago.
